Dan Green Photography

Dan Green is an established photographer who has launched a number of prodjects over the years one of which is Cardiff Characters. Cardiff Characters is a photographic and multi-media project, which captures the essence of Cardiffs multi-cultural and diverse nature. It focuses on individuals, landmarks and community events, that all help give Cardiff its unique identity, its character and its soul.

Following on from the success of the first exhibition throughout May, 2008 at the Old Library in central Cardiff, and currently at Shot in the Dark cafe/bar in City Road, Dan wants to further develop and expand the project. As a direct result of this first exhibition he has been chosen by WNO Max to document a year-long community project in Riverside, Grangetown and Butetown, this will open up a rich seam of further interesting characters.

In addition, people who see the exhibition are encouraged to give feed-back and have given suggestions for further characters that can be found within their own community. This has led to many more characters to capture in their environment, and has broadened the scope to include all areas of Cardiff.
